Dell Xps M1330 Bluetooth Driver Windows 8
Hi,I have been running Windows 7 x 64 on my M1330 fitted with a Intel X-25M SSD for a few weeks now and all seems ok. I did have problems with the Ricoh card reader driver but downloaded the latest 64bit Win7 driver for the XPS 1645 from the Dell site (manually installed rather than using the setup.exe installer). All of the other drivers and control software I installed was Dell Vista x64 drivers specifically for the M1330. As I'm in the process of installing W7 64bit on XPS M1330 (with Intel SSD gen2), I'm bringing this thread to life.1.
To my knowledge, Intel chipset drivers WON'T install any storage driver at all (that's just bunch of infs for PCI/USB/Memory cfgs). That's what IntelMatrixStorage driver is for. But I've also heard Intel isn't supporting TRIM in their drivers, so that's correct.2. Have you been succesful with installing 64bit audio drivers taken from Studio XPS 1645?

I'm using VoIP software a lot so microphone input is needed.3. Is it really better to use media-card reader from Studio XPS M1330? I assume yes as XPS M1330 doesn't list any win7 drivers (though vista will do in most cases as driver model is the same)4.
Windows shouldn't install Intel storage driver automatically, with or without internet connection, that is a new information for me (unless you've done win update and chosen to download/install them from WU repository). Hi,1) It seems intel have split this out.
The earlier ones supplied by Dell did try to install the Matrix Storage Drivers but I downloaded the latest 9.1.1.1023 from and they work fine.2) No I have stuck with the Vista 64bit 1300 drivers as these seem to work ok for my needs. I don't use Skype but do use MSN and the mic works ok so have not ventured elsewhere. If you find better drivers, please let me know.3) I initially installed the M1330 vista x64 drivers and although these went in ok the media reader stopped working with my Sony MemoryStick Pro Duo card, which I use a lot with my PSP. To remedy this I installed the Sudio XPS1645 windows 7 x64 drivers. I did not install using the setup.exe as this failed to work but installing the manually worked ok as suggested on another forum.4) No it did not install the matrix storage automatically but after a few days of activity I had an Action Center message confirming later drivers were available on trying this it downloaded the current Intel Matrix drivers, which I knew did not support TRIM. I did not install them and archived the message so it did not bother me again.Intel will eventually get around to releasing a TRIM version.but I am guessing they are still busy sorting out their TRIM firmware installer at the mo to be thinking about anything else.
I cannot access the driverrobot.com website from work as my work internet software blocks the site as being a spyware risk. I have never used such software but can I assume this is free to download that inspects your PC and if it finds something it thinks you need, it reports this but requires you to pay if you want to know what can be updated?
If this is the case then I would be suspicious that it is saying that I need something so that I will pay them some cash to tell me what. I wonder what would happen if you pay them and then find out there is nothing available? Could you claim your money back? Whilst there may be newer drivers out there for the M1330, if your laptop is working fine with the ones you have already installed or I have quoted above then I see no reason to search for others.New drivers can be released for many reasons:1) Fix problems2) Provide greater support for newly released hardware / software3) Update OS compatibility4) Provide newer functionality. The XPS M1330 has pretty much reached the end of it's life and Dell won't be selling it for much longer.
In view of this it is unlikely that newer drivers offering better functionality will be created / released by them. As such, the current drivers are pretty much up to date / bug free for XP / Vista setups. For the most, these should also work with Windows 7 but where this is not the case I have suggested some alternatives above. I will keep adding to this thread if I find others.Current outstanding issues include:a) Sound card drivers seem to be a little buggy with VoIP (e.g.
Skype).although seem to work fine with everything else.b) Still no SSD TRIM supporting Intel Matrix Storage drivers although the Windows 7 ones work fine as an interim. Intel have confirmed that they are working on this but have not confirmed expected dates.
